I've been so busy with babies and young children lately, and I recently got a change of pace. I love photographing seniors. They always have a unique style and it's a fun challenge for me to create images that reflect that personal style. Preston's a laid back guy - not real thrilled about being photographed but he did very well considering being a model isn't necessarily his favorite passtime! He has an edge to him, and I think I was able to capture that in his senior portraits. Here are a few favorites from his session.

Guess who? Yep it's Nina! My most difficult subject by far but my favorite anyway! Photographing your own kids is the most difficult. Ask any photographer who has kids and they'll tell ya! Nina is almost 2, so of course that adds a little more trouble to the mix, and then take out the added help of a parent to chase down the kids and round em up. Oh boy, did I get my workout yesterday! Anyway, here's what I got from my little turkey after chasing her all over the park for 20 minutes or so yesterday.

I got to photograph yet another beautiful baby today! This little guy has the most beautiful skin I've seen on a new baby in a long time! He did very well for his photo shoot, and though he was SO tired, he was able to keep his eyes open long enough to capture some of his waking moments. Here's baby Sam:

Here's baby Auden. He's just about 12 days old, sweet as can be and HUNGRY! It's amazing how such a tiny little person can eat so much. He's going to be a big strong tough guy. He had his mom, dad, grandma and grandpa there with him, and you can sure tell they love him a lot. What a lucky little boy!

Here's Jasmine! She's such a beautiful little aspiring model. Not even four years old, she just lit up in front of the camera. I'm sure she's going to do very well! Here are some of my favorites from her session.

I had to share a few of my favorites from this afternoon's session. This baby girl was so beautiful! She's nine weeks old and such a little sweetie.

Here I go neglecting my blog again, sorry! In my defense, I have had a very busy couple of weeks, with catching up on orders and attending an awesome convention! Anyway, I got a chance to photograph this little cutie again! I photographed him when he was just a tiny newborn, and now he's so big! Here is Ethan at 6 months:

And since you were wondering, here's one from his newborn session. Amazing how they change so fast, isn't it?

I've been proofing all day and I needed a break! Thought I'd come back and share a couple more from one of my sesssions this last month.

Here is an adorable family I got to photograph recently. They just had their second child. Looking at big sister and seeing those big eyes, I just know she's going to be a real cutie and I'm looking forward to photographing her first year!

How cute is this! I usually will take a few little feet shots with the newborns, but big sister was right there and willing! I just love this!

Boy oh boy! I've had a busy couple of weeks, and am finally finding time to catch up with blogging, finishing orders, and all that other stuff that I've been putting off getting done! I am going to a convention this coming weekend in Waterloo Iowa with prophotogs.com. I'm really looking forward to it! I can't wait to meet with all the fellow photographers I've spoken to in various photography forums and shared ideas with.
Anyway, I have lots of new sessions to share with you! I'll post a few and let you in on a couple more in my next post!

Let's see... Here is a 6 day old little sweetie who decided to suprise her parents with her early arrival! We had planned a maternity session for mommy, but baby decided that the session was for HER, not mommy! This is not the first time this has happened! So basically, pregnant woman, if you want to iduce labor, book a maternity session with me and it will more than likely end up being a newborn session! Here are some of my favorites:
Alright, now here are a few from a maternity session that actually STAYED a maternity session! She was a gorgeous mommie to be. This is what they are talking about when they mention the pregnancy "glow".
Hmm, let's see, what other session do I want to share? There were so many that I just loved that it's really hard to choose! Ok, I've got to show you these little cuties. He was 2 and she was almost 5 months. He was such a little ham! I got to talk to him all about farm animals, hearing all the sounds they make. His baby sister had the biggest most adorable grin! She was such a happy baby, but I must admit it's those big eyes that make your heart melt! Here they are!
